Hi, I’m Dirk Stübchen, the craftsman behind West Wind Services. With a lifelong passion for woodworking, I specialize in custom-built furniture, fine cabinetry, and architectural millwork, helping homeowners and businesses bring their unique visions to life

My Story.
As a young man in Europe, I was asked to help family friends move apartments. The husband had been diagnosed with cancer, and they needed to relocate to a lower floor. While assisting with the move, I discovered how much I enjoyed disassembling and reassembling a large European-style wardrobe—a moment that sparked my passion for woodworking.
This experience led me to pursue formal training in carpentry and cabinetry, eventually building a lifelong career in the trade.
After seven years of marriage, my wife and I moved to Canada, where I joined Svend Nielsen Ltd., a high-end cabinet and millwork company serving corporate clients across North America. I spent nearly 25 years as their lead installer and shop craftsman, mastering my craft both in the field and the workshop.
Today, I bring those decades of experience to West Wind Services, offering expert carpentry, cabinetry, and woodworking solutions. It would be my privilege to help bring your projects to life with skill, precision, and care.
